Course Description: 

In this comprehensive 16-week course, students will learn principles of risk adjustment and accurate diagnosis coding. In addition, there will be discussion of predictive modeling, financial impact of risk adjustment coding, documentation challenges, official diagnosis coding guidelines, and diagnosis coding in ICD-10-CM. This course is recommended for anyone who is currently working in risk adjustment or wants to learn risk adjustment coding seeking to obtain their certification from a nationally recognized organization.

Hybrid classes aim to take the best aspects of online learning and combine them with the best aspects of an instructor led course for an all-inclusive learning experience. Students and instructors meet weekly in a virtual class room for course lectures, review quizzes and test. Meetings are recorded and posted, students are able to go back and re-watch and review video/Powerpoint information that they are having difficulty with.
